💡 When videos are uploaded to social media platforms, they are automatically compressed to meet server requirements, which can lead to reduced video quality. Since each platform applies different compression policies, VDIT cannot offer a one-size-fits-all solution. However, we’ve prepared a few tips that may help minimize quality loss. Please refer to this guide for assistance.
Adjust Compression Ratio
Before uploading, it’s important to consider the compression ratio. Bitrate refers to the amount of data transmitted per second in a video or audio file and is commonly used to control compression. A higher bitrate delivers better video quality but increases file size, while a lower bitrate reduces file size at the cost of quality. When adjusting bitrate, it’s essential to balance file size, video quality, and the purpose of the content.
Currently, VDIT does not support manual bitrate adjustment, but this feature is planned for a future update. Please stay tuned!
Save as 4K Resolution
Saving edited videos in the highest quality (4K) option can also be a fundamental and essential step in minimizing video quality degradation. You can set the high-resolution option in VDIT as follows.
1. Tap the [Save] button.
2. Tap the [Resolution] menu.
3. VDIT provides four resolution options including low quality (SD), medium quality (HD), high quality (FHD), and ultra-high quality (4K). To maintain the highest possible video quality when uploading to social media, please select the highest resolution option(4K).
4. Tap the [Save to Photos] button.
