💡 With advanced options, you can manually adjust the codec, bitrate (Mbps), and HDR settings to control your video's quality and file size. If you don't make any adjustments, the default settings configured in the VDIT app will be applied.
🎞️ What is a Codec?
A codec compresses video to reduce file size while ensuring smooth playback across various devices.
H.264
- HDR is not supported
- Highly compatible with most devices including smartphones, computers, and TVs
H.265 (Default Setting)
-
- Supports HDR for more vivid and sharper videos
- Maintains high quality with smaller file sizes
- Ideal for high-quality video production
📶 What is Bitrate(Mbps)?
Bitrate refers to the amount of data processed each second in a video, essentially describing how much detail the video carries.
Low
-
- Reduces file size but may compromise quality
- Suitable for simple video productions
Recommended (Default Setting)
-
- Balances file size and quality
- Suitable for most general-purpose videos
High
- Delivers clearer, higher-quality videos
- Results in larger file sizes due to the higher quality
🪄 Why Can't I Select the HDR Option?
- What is HDR (High Dynamic Range)? HDR improves brightness, color, and contrast to deliver a more dynamic viewing experience.
- Note: HDR is not supported with H.264 codec. To enable HDR, please switch to the H.265 codec.
