💡 If some clips cannot be read when importing photos or videos, an error message may appear. This issue can occur because of iCloud storage status, network conditions, insufficient storage space, or photo access permission settings. Please check the details below for troubleshooting steps.
Solution
Check the original file
If the original file has been deleted, some clips cannot be imported.
- Please check again whether the original file exists in the [Photos] app. If it has been moved to the Recently Deleted album, please restore it.
Check iCloud Photos sync status
If you are using photos or videos stored in iCloud, an error may occur when importing clips if the original file is not stored on the device.
- If you are using a file uploaded to iCloud, fully download the file to your device first, then import it again into the VDIT app.
Free up device storage
If storage space is low, problems may occur while importing files.
- Please go to [Settings > General > iPhone Storage] and delete unnecessary apps or old videos to free up storage space.
Check your network connection
A stable network connection is required to download iCloud files.
- Please use a stable Wi-Fi connection rather than cellular data (LTE/5G).
Check photo access permission
If photo access permission is limited, the original file may not be imported properly.
Please go to [Settings > Apps > VDIT > Photos] and check whether the permission is set to [Full Access].
Notes
- Even if the media appears in the [Photos] app, the original file may not be fully stored on the device yet.
- On a new device, iCloud Photos may not have finished syncing yet.
